ViAFaM : Visual Automatic Fabric Marker

Revolutionizing Fabric Inspection

Traditional fabric visiting machines (colored in blue) are typically operated manually for long 8-hour shifts—making the work tedious, repetitive, and prone to human error.

ViAFaM solves this challenge by integrating advanced camera arrays with carefully selected optics to ensure optimal spatial and resolution coverage. We also equip the machine with our dedicated Cartesian marker, which precisely marks defects directly on the fabric in real time. At the core of the system is our custom-built hardware that seamlessly connects to the existing visiting machine, transforming it into a smart, automated inspection station.

Our NVIDIA Jetson-powered video acquisition box supports up to 8 cameras, enabling real-time image processing and synchronized defect detection.

Operators benefit from an intuitive, easy-to-use interface that displays high-resolution defect images, along with detailed data such as position, size, and defect type. The system integrates with the company’s information systems, unlocking the full potential of Industry 4.0 for textile production.

Defect images and their analysis, whether aggregated or by individual fabric roll, are accessible online in real time for managers and quality inspectors.
